Our Mission:

To produce goats that are fast growing, high yield, and low maintenance, with less input. 

By crossing quality Kikos and Boers we are utilizing a formula that relies on the proven method of hybrid vigor to build the perfect meat goat... the Texas Genemaster.  This formula, researched by Goatex Group LLC of New Zealand has produced a superior animal that is less susceptible to disease, pests, and better equipped to give birth unassisted while relying predominantly on natural forage for sustainance.  All this along with remarkable meat capacity and high-speed weight gain produces a healthy marketable product.

Pleasant Valley
Pleasant Valley Goatery is located three miles south of Iowa City at Pleasant Valley Nursery.  The majority of our Fullblood Boers and Kikos are located at this site.  We strive to produce sound, healthy and well-balanced stock to sell for those who are just starting out or are looking to infuse new blood into their herd.   Call Jane at 319-351-7973 or e-mail jek4201@msn.com.

Wapsi Valley
Located just south of Calamus Iowa, Wapsi Valley Goatery is owned by Dianne Moorman.  At this 75 acre farm, we handle the majority of our percentage herd.  They enjoy 15 acres of pasture where they live a very natural lifestyle.  We believe in producing a goat that can browse and forage, plus a large environment means fewer parasites and health problems.  Throughout the year, a number of excellent doelings, bucklings and wethers are available for sale.  For more information contact Dianne at 563-246-2118 or email dmoorman@fbcom.net
